　　The International Olympic Committee announced its punishment on Monday regarding to a Russian shot-putter for the banned steroid, Spokeswoman Giselle Davies.

　　"The shot-putter Irina Korzhanenko. She has been sanctioned by the IOC for failing an anti-doping test. She will be excluded from the Games at Athens 2004, having tested positive on the 18th of August for stanozolol, which is a prohibited anabolic steroid."

　　“铅球运动员伊琳娜·科尔扎连科，在赛后的药检中没有能够过关，我们现在公布对她的处罚决定。由于在18日的药检中呈阳性，证明她的体内含有被禁止使用的合成代谢类固醇。因此，科尔扎连科将被驱逐出本次2004年雅典奥运会。”

　　Davies said Korzhanenko tested positive for the substance after winning the women's shot-put at the ancient site in Olympia.

　　戴维斯表示伊琳娜·科尔扎连科是在古奥林匹亚的遗址上夺得了女子铅球的冠军的，但是很遗憾，她没有能够通过赛后的药检。

　　"She was tested after having won the shot-put event at Olympia, where she won the gold medal - and, just as a reminder here, the IOC, as part of its thorough testing in the fight against doping, systematically tests the top four finishers in every event. So the IOC executive board this morning heard the report of the disciplinary commission and has decided the following: that Irina Korzhanenko is disqualified from the women's shot-put event, where she placed first; that she shall have her gold medal and diploma withdrawn; she is excluded from the games of the 28th Olympiad in Athens; and shall have her Olympic identity and accreditation card withdrawn."

　　“她是在奥林匹亚夺得铅球冠军之后接受检查的。我们想要告诉大家的是，作为和违禁药品作斗争的重要部分，国际奥委会在每次比赛之后都将对取得前四名的选手进行例行药检。因此国际奥委会执行委员会今天早上听取了纪律委员会的意见，并作出了如下的决定：伊琳娜·科尔扎连科被剥夺在女子铅球比赛中取得的第一的名次，她取得的奖牌和证书也将被收回。接下来她将被逐出第28届雅典奥运会，她需要上交自己的运动员身份证明和信用卡。”

　　After Korzhanenko tested positive, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) executive board ordered the Russian Olympic Committee to return the medal.

　　The gold now goes to Cuba's Yumileidi Cumba Jay.
