　　A discus thrower has been ejected from the Athens Olympic for failed to provide a drug test sample. Hungarian Robert Fazekas who won the discus throw on Monday night with an Olympic record throw of 70.93 metres was stripped of his title after the competition.

　　"Mr Robert Fazekas refused on the 23rd of August to provide a complete urine sample after the men's discuss throw where he placed first. According to the anti-doping rules for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, refusing or failing without compelling justification to submit sample collection after notification is an anti-doping rule violation. And the IOC executive board which met and heard the report of the disciplinary commission last night had decided that Robert Fazekas is disqualified from the men's discuss throw event. He was not awarded his gold medal or diploma. He is excluded from the Games, he will have his Olympic identity and accreditation card withdrawn".

　　Fazekas is the second athlete in two days to lose a gold medal for doping.

　　Russian shot putter Irina Korzhanenko's lost her gold after she tested positive for steroids.

　　The IOC said that Fazekas may not be the last atheletes to lost their medal.

　　国际奥委会表示，法泽卡斯可能还不是被剥夺奖牌的最后一名运动员。

　　"As IOC said in the build up to the games, due to the fact that the testing has been increased by 25 per cent here in Athens compared with Sydney, it's been extended over a wider period of time. The IOC will not be surprised if more violations of doping rules were found here at these Games over other Games. We should keep it in perspective we currently have seven other positive doping cases and three other anti-doping rule violations. Sydney had eleven cases. IOC is determined in its fight against doping and you can see that the work that has been..that has taken place during these Games is proof of the fact that the fight against doping is a priority for the IOC".

　　The IAAF could ban Fazekas for two years.

　　另外，除了国际奥委会之外，国际田联也有可能对法泽卡斯处以为期两年的禁赛。
