　　The International Olympic Committee told Greek officials on Friday that Leonidas Sampanis, a weight-lifter who won the bronze medal in the Athens games, has shown abnormally high testosterone levels in doping test.

　　In audiences' favorites Sampanis is the 3rd Greek athlete to test positive for doping. Earlier in the games, two Greek spingters Costas Kenteris and Katerina Thanou, both medalists from the Sydney games, withdrew from competition after they failed to show up for their drug testing.

　　In the wake of the scandal, they had the head of the Greek Olympic team, Yiannis Papadoyiannakis, resign from his post. The Greek Olympic Commitee rejected his resignation.

　　Sampanis finnished third in the weigh-lifting competition on Monday in the 137 pound category, the top four finnishers in each event are tested for doping after their performances.
